കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളജ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സാ പിഴവിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് യുവതി മരിച്ചതായി പരാതി. ഗര്‍ഭാശം നീക്കം ചെയ്യല്‍ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയക്ക് വിധേയായ വടകര മന്ദരത്തൂര്‍ സ്വദേശി തങ്കമണിയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് പൊലീസ് അസ്വഭാവിക മരണത്തിനു കേസടുത്തു.
ഗര്‍ഭാശയം നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി അഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതിയാണു തങ്കമണി മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിയത്. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച താക്കോല്‍ദ്വാര ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ ഗര്‍ഭാശയം നീക്കം ചെയ്തു. തൊട്ടടുത്ത ദിവസം ശാരീരിക അസ്വസ്ഥതകളുണ്ടായി. സ്കാനിങ്ങില്‍ വയറില്‍ രക്തം കെട്ടികിടക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടെത്തി. തുടര്‍ന്ന് വീണ്ടും ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ ചെയ്തെങ്കിലും ആരോഗ്യനില വഷളായി.

ഇന്നലെ വൈകീട്ടാണ് മരണം സംഭവിച്ചത്. ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്കിടെ വന്‍കുടലും മലാശയവും ചേരുന്ന ഭാഗത്ത് മുറിവ് പറ്റി രക്തസ്രാവം ഉണ്ടായെന്നു ഡോക്ടര്‍ കൂടെയുള്ളവരെ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ് ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ ആരോപിക്കുന്നത്. അസ്വഭാവിക മരണത്തിനു കേസെടുത്ത മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് പൊലീസ് തുടര്‍ നടപടികള്‍ക്കായി പോസ്റ്റ് മോര്‍ട്ടം റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പോസ്റ്റ് മോര്‍ട്ടം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി മൃതദേഹം ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ക്കു കൈമാറി.

Woman Dies at Kozhikode Medical College:
Medical negligence is strongly suspected by the family of a woman who died following a routine surgery at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. Thankamani, a native of Vadakara Mandarathur, was admitted to the hospital for a procedure to remove her uterus. Laparoscopic surgery was performed on Thursday, but she developed severe physical complications shortly after the operation. Scans subsequently revealed internal bleeding, prompting a second emergency surgery that unfortunately failed to stabilize her worsening condition. Relatives alleged that doctors accidentally injured her large intestine and rectum during the initial procedure, leading to fatal internal bleeding. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are currently awaiting the final autopsy report to proceed with further legal actions. Hospital authorities have handed over the body to the grieving family following the completion of the post-mortem examination.
