വീൽചെയറിൽ ഇരുന്നു പഠിച്ചു ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് സാഹിത്യത്തില്‍ പിഎച്ച്ഡി നേടിയ സുജിത്ത് സുമനസ്സുകളുടെ സഹായം തേടുന്നു. ശരീരം വഴിമുടക്കിയെങ്കിലും സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾക്ക് പിറകെയായിരുന്നു സുജിത്ത്. വിരലുകൾ വഴങ്ങാത്തതിനാൽ എഴുതാനും ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യാനും ഏറെ സമയം എടുത്താണ് പഠനം മുന്നോട്ടു കൊണ്ടുപോയത്. വീൽചെയറിലിരുന്ന്, മസിലുകളിലെ സ്പാസവുമായി ഓരോ ദിവസവും പോരാടി അദ്ദേഹം ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് സാഹിത്യത്തിൽ പിഎച്ച്ഡി സ്വന്തമാക്കി.
പൊൻകുന്നം വടക്കേമഠത്തിൽ സി. സുജിത്ത് ഹൈദരാബാദിലെ ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് ആൻഡ് ഫോറിൻ ലാംഗ്വേജസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ (ഇഫ്ലു) നിന്നാണ് ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് നേടിയത്. ജന്മനാ സ്പാസ്റ്റിക് സെറിബ്രൽ പാൾസി എന്ന രോഗത്തിന് അടിമയായി. സ്വന്തമായി നിൽക്കാനോ പടികൾ കയറാനോ ദീർഘയാത്ര ചെയ്യാനോ കഴിയില്ല. എന്നിട്ടും പഠനത്തിനു മുന്നിൽ പരിമിതികളെ അനുവദിച്ചില്ല. അമേരിക്കൻ എഴുത്തുകാരൻ വില്ല്യം ഗിബ്സന്റെ രചനകളിലെ ‘ഡിജിറ്റൽ ഹ്യൂമൻ ഇന്റർഫേസ്’ ആയിരുന്നു ഗവേഷണവിഷയം.

ഇതിനിടെ 2021 ലെ ഗുരുതര കുടൽ ക്ഷയരോഗവും 2025 ലെ ഹെർണിയ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയും ജീവിതത്തെ വീണ്ടും പരീക്ഷിച്ചു. ചികിത്സയും സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയും ഗവേഷണം പലതവണ തടഞ്ഞു. സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുടെയും അധ്യാപകരുടെയും പിന്തുണയും യുജിസിയുടെ അധികസമയവും തുണയായി. ഒടുവിൽ ഗവേഷണം പൂർത്തിയായി.
