വാഹനാപകടത്തിൽ അന്തരിച്ച നടൻ കൊല്ലം സുധിയുടെ കുടുംബത്തിന് മോട്ടോർ ആക്സിഡന്റ് ക്ലെയിംസ് ട്രൈബ്യൂണൽ (എം.എ.സി.ടി) നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം വിധിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെ ഉയർന്ന വ്യാജ പ്രചാരണങ്ങൾക്ക് മറുപടിയുമായി ഭാര്യ രേണു സുധി. സുധിയുമായുള്ള വിവാഹം നിയമപരമല്ലെന്നും അതിനാൽ നഷ്ടപരിഹാര തുക രേണുവിന് ലഭിക്കില്ലെന്നുമായിരുന്നു സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയില്‍ പ്രചരിച്ച കഥ. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് അടിസ്ഥാനരഹിതമാണെന്ന് ഒരു യൂട്യൂബ് ചാനലിന് നൽകിയ അഭിമുഖത്തിൽ രേണു പ്രതികരിച്ചു.
"ഞാനും സുധിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള വിവാഹം നിയമപ്രകാരം രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി താലൂക്കിലെ തെങ്ങണ സബ് രജിസ്ട്രാർ ഓഫിസിൽ 2017 മേയ് ഏഴിനാണ് വിവാഹം രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തത്. കൃത്യമായ നിയമപരമായ രേഖകളോടെയാണ് കോടതിയെ സമീപിച്ചത്. കള്ളസർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ഉണ്ടാക്കി കോടതിയെ തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിയില്ല.

വിവാഹം വ്യാജമാണെന്ന് ആരോപിക്കുന്നവർ വ്യാജമനസ്സുള്ളവരാണ്. ഈ ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ലഭിക്കുന്ന നഷ്ടപരിഹാര തുക എനിക്ക് വലിയ ആശ്വാസമാണ്. സുധിച്ചേട്ടന്റെ കരുതലായി ഇതിനെ കാണുന്നു. കീമോതെറാപ്പി പൂർത്തിയായി. ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്കു ശേഷമുള്ള പാത്തോളജി റിപ്പോർട്ട് അനുസരിച്ചായിരിക്കും തുടർ ചികിത്സ."- രേണു പറയുന്നു.
അർബുദ രോഗബാധയെ തുടർന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലാണ് രേണു. കോട്ടയം എം.എ.സി.ടി ട്രൈബ്യൂണൽ 1,41,09,840 രൂപയാണ് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരമായി വിധിച്ചത്. കേസ് ഫയൽ ചെയ്ത ദിവസം മുതൽ തുക കെട്ടിവയ്ക്കുന്ന നാൾ വരെയുള്ള 8.5 ശതമാനം പലിശയും ഉൾപ്പെടെ ആകെ തുക 1.77 കോടി രൂപയോളമായി ഉയരും. സുധിയുടെ അമ്മയ്ക്കും രേണുവിനും രണ്ട് മക്കൾക്കുമായാണ് ഈ നഷ്ടപരിഹാരത്തുക ലഭിക്കുക.

Renu Sudhi Refutes Fake News on Marriage and Compensation:
Renu Sudhi, wife of the late actor Kollam Sudhi, has responded to false propaganda surrounding the compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT). Claims that her marriage to Sudhi was not legal and therefore she wouldn't receive the compensation amount were circulating on social media. Renu Sudhi clarified that her marriage was legally registered on May 7, 2017, at the Thengana Sub-Registrar Office in Changanassery taluk, and that the court was approached with proper legal documentation. She stated that those accusing the marriage of being fake have false intentions, and the compensation is a great solace, viewing it as Sudhi's care. Renu is currently undergoing cancer treatment, having completed chemotherapy and awaiting post-surgery pathology reports for further treatment. The Kottayam MACT tribunal has awarded ₹1,41,09,840 as compensation, which, with interest, will amount to approximately ₹1.77 crore, to be shared among Sudhi's mother, Renu, and their two children.
