മലയാളത്തിന്റെ ഇതിഹാസനടൻ പ്രേംനസീറിന്റെ മൂത്ത മകള്‍ ലൈല റഷീദ് അന്തരിച്ചു. 76 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. ഹൃദയാഘാതത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെ ഇന്നലെ വൈകിട്ട് ഏഴരയോടെയാണ് മരണം. 1950 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 24-ന് ചിറയിന്‍കീഴിലായിരുന്നു ലൈലയുടെ ജനനം. കൊടിക്കകം ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് എല്‍പി സ്‌കൂള്‍, മദ്രാസ് പ്രസിഡന്‍സി സ്‌കൂള്‍ , തിരുവനന്തപുരം സെന്റ് റോക്‌സ് കോണ്‍വന്റ്, കുന്തല്ലൂര്‍ ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് ഹൈസ്‌കൂള്‍ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലായി പഠനം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി.
പരേതനായ ഇ.എ. റഷീദ് (റിട്ട. എൻജിനീയർ, പിഡബ്ല്യുഡി) ആണ് ഭർത്താവ്. ആർക്കിടെക്റ്റായ സജിത് ഖാൻ (ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ), സോജ (കോയമ്പത്തൂർ) എന്നിവർ മക്കളാണ്. വാക്കറൂ മാനേജിങ് ഡയറക്ടർ വി. നൗഷാദ്, നസ്രീൻ (ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ) എന്നിവരാണ് മരുമക്കൾ. റസിയ ഹാഷിം, റീത ഷറഫുദ്ദീൻ, പരേതനായ നടൻ ഷാനവാസ് എന്നിവർ സഹോദരങ്ങളാണ്.

പ്രേംനസീറിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ‘ഇതിലേ പോയത് വസന്തം’ എന്ന ഓര്‍മപുസ്തകം രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Prem is a name forever etched in the history of Malayalam cinema, and his eldest daughter Laila Rasheed recently passed away at the age of seventy-six. She breathed her last at a private hospital in Kozhikode following a sudden heart attack while undergoing medical treatment. Born in Chirayinkeezhu in August nineteen fifty, she completed her education across various prestigious schools in different regions. Her husband was the late E A Rasheed, and she is survived by her loving children Sajit Khan and Soja. She also authored a memorable biographical book about her legendary father titled 'Ithile Poyathu Vasantham'. Family members, fans, and film fraternity members expressed deep grief over her sad demise.
