മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ പ്രമുഖ നിർമാതാവ് ജിയോ കുട്ടപ്പൻ (എൻ.ജി. ജോൺ) അന്തരിച്ചു. 90 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. ബുധനാഴ്ച പുലർച്ചെ ഒന്നരയ്ക്ക് എറണാകുളം മെഡിക്കൽ സെന്റർ ആശുപത്രിയിലായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. മലയാള സിനിമാ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ആദ്യകാല വിതരണക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളായ എൻ.എക്സ്. ജോർജിന്റെ മകനായ ജിയോ കുട്ടപ്പൻ ജിയോ പിക്ചേഴ്സിന്റെ ബാനറിൽ ഒട്ടേറെ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ നിർമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
