1938 മേയ് പതിനേഴിന് ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലാണ് ജമുനാറാണിയുടെ ജനനം. ഏഴാമത്തെ വയസ്സില് ത്യാഗയ്യ എന്ന തെലുങ്ക് ചിത്രത്തിനു വേണ്ടിയാണ് ആദ്യമായി പാടിയത്. തെലുങ്ക്, തമിഴ്, കന്നഡ, മലയാളം, സിംഹള ഭാഷകളിലായി 6,000ത്തിലധികം ഗാനങ്ങള് ആലപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

മലയാളത്തില് എം എസ് വിശ്വനാഥ്, ബ്രദര് ലക്ഷ്മണ്, എം ബി ശ്രീനിവാസ്, എം എസ് ബാബു ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ളവരുടെ സംഗീതത്തില് പാടി. നിരവധി പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും തേടിയെത്തി.

She lent her voice to over 6,000 songs across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Sinhala languages. In Malayalam, she sang under renowned composers including M.S. Viswanathan and M.B. Srinivasan, receiving numerous accolades throughout her career.
